As a result of new laws introduced by the Ontario government, you now have more choice when it comes to selecting automobile insurance coverage that best meets your individual needs.

My family depends on me.
If I get hurt in a car accident, I need to be sure they’re protected.

It’s my choice. Choosing the right insurance coverage is important to me because:

  • I need my car insurance to provide for all the people who depend on me financially or as a caregiver, including my children and elderly parents who live with me.
  • If I’m a single parent, I have to think about whether my coverage will support me in caring for my children independently after a car accident.
  • To arrive at the total insurance package that’s right for me, I’ll have to factor in both my own employer benefits and those of my spouse, bearing in mind that OHIP doesn’t pay for many of our healthcare expenses in the event of an accident.
  • If I’m injured, who would take care of my children? Who would take care of me? And would I need assistance with housekeeping and home maintenance?

Although I have a lot of competing financial priorities, buying the right car insurance coverage is an investment in me.
